I remember going over to my Grandparent's house almost every Sunday. We would play and Granny would always have candy in the cupboard. We gobbled it up because we didn't get many sweets at home. Our parents would come back over for dinner and then we would return home.
While at our grandparents we would play, ride on the riding lawn mower with Grandaddy, watch movies on TV (black and white), craft, or just hang out. There was no air conditioning and I remember it being SOOOO HOT!!! They would turn on this big window fan in the back room and crack the front door to try to draw some air through the house. Well, I guess you know I am no spring chicken by now, but those were the days!

Great blog carnival story. We too used to be able to drive the lawn mower around the yard once in awhile while Grampy watched over us.
Thanks for the memory.

again, crafting was in there! It's just amazing, how many people remember doing crafts as kids!
Ooh... riding on the riding mower with grandpa... singing "Here we go round the mulberry bush" :) Thanks for the memory!
